Jukola is alive with the sound of music!

The special theme music for the Kytäjä-Jukola event is the handwriting of the Hyvinkää Orchestra intendant, musician Charlotta Kivistö. In the course of the event, visitors will hear the “Kytäjä-Jukola 2010” theme as well as a longer composition based on that theme.

In the award ceremonies, the Hyvinkään Rautatien Soittajat orchestra will perform four individual fanfares composed by Kivistö. The composer hopes these melodies will bring all listeners in a wonderful summer mood and play their part in lifting the Jukola Relay atmosphere to the skies.

Kytäjä has remained a very special place in Kivistö’s heart, for her family moved there when she was just a toddler. More than twenty years have passed since then, and children’s songs have given way to more ambition compositions heard in the Kytäjä-Jukola.
