Waste management instructions

Our primary goal in Kytäjä-Jukola is to prevent waste from being created. The waste that is nevertheless created should be disposed of according to these instructions.

There are approximately 250 garbage bins in the competition area. The garbage bins have been marked according to the waste types to be sorted.

The competition centre has two main waste sorting sites, Waste Sorting Site 1 and Waste Sorting Site 2. At these sites you will find separate bins for each type of waste to be sorted: biodegradable waste, paper board, bottles and tin cans with deposit, glass, metals, hazardous waste, paper, and mixed waste). During the event, assigned guides will help you sort your waste properly at the waste sorting sites.

Please do not litter the terrain! When passing through controls with water, please throw your used plastic cups and energy gel packs, etc. on the garbage tarpaulin provided. DO NOT dispose of your energy gel packs or other waste in the terrain!

If you can carry it with you in the terrain, you can just as well carry it with you to the finish!
