Training
Note. The information below is for the autumn of 2009 exercises. In the spring of 2010 there will be available new exercises.
General
There are four different trainings available: long distance, butterfly, relay and middle distance. There are two different distances for each training or they are otherwise planned so that they are easily shortened if needed. You can also get a map with all the controls and plan your own course.
How to order
Trainings are ordered by Internet form. New form with new trainings will be opened during spring 2010.

Terrains
All the trainings are very close to the competition terrain. Use only the area of the training map when you are doing your workout or warming up!

Maps
Maps are printed maps of good quality. Control descriptions for the ordered courses are printed on the map. There are no plastic bags for the maps.
Controls
Controls are marked with control flags. Control code is marked to a separate tag nearby the control.
Controls will be in the terrain from 15.8.2009 to 30.11.2009. To prevent the overuse of the terrain, there will be new courses with new controls for the spring 2010.

Delivery
Maps will be delivered to orderer by mail with an charge of 5 euros. From 1.10.2009 maps can be collected from Jukola office during its opening hours.

Description of the trainings
Long distance
Training is not long but the profil of the course offers typical route choices for the long distance. There are two course choises. Longer course (6,7 km) offers long legs in fysically demanding terrain. Shorter course (3,1 km) is in easier terrain and is a good choice for the younger orienteerers.

Butterfly training
With this training it is possible to get to know the dominant terrain types of the area. Course length is 6.5 km. Leaving out some butterflies it is easy to shorten the course if needed.

Relay
Gather teams of three runners and practise relay with mass start and forking. A single course will serve also as an individual training.

Middle distance
