The competition terrain is wilderness which is partly divided by forest roads. The terrain consists mainly of steep hills which alternate with marshy dells. There are almost no paths in the terrain instead there are few forest roads and ski tracks which make running easier. Lots off forestry have been made in the terrain in the 70s and 80s. These areas are now in a good shape for orienteering, however, kilometer paces will be slower this year than in other Jukola relays in the 21^th century.

Kytäjä Jukola 2010 will be a challenging orienteering race. Time differences between the top teams will be big. An average mistake will be bigger in this terrain than in other terrains.
